Who should I ask first?
Ask someone who knows your work well: a manager, close peer or person you led.
Do I need to be job hunting?
No. Ask after a project or role change, while the work is still fresh.
Can they write a bad review?
No. They can back a strength or skip it. There are no negative ratings.
Can I control recruiter access?
Yes. Recruiter search, contact permission and public shortlist sharing are separate settings. They start on, and you can turn off any option whenever you want.
What does confirmed mean?
They click a link sent to their email. Work email adds workplace context; personal email works too.
