Community and Acceptable Use Guidelines
These guidelines set standards of behaviour for all users of the Refr.you platform.
1. Purpose of these guidelines
These guidelines set out the standards of behaviour expected of all End Users when accessing or using the Platform. The Platform is designed to support professional networking, communication, and collaboration.
2. Who these guidelines apply to
These guidelines apply to all End Users and Business Customers (together, "Users") who access the Platform and create, share, post, upload, or otherwise interact with content or other users. Compliance is a condition of continued access.
3. Expected standards of behaviour
- Act lawfully, honestly, and respectfully.
- Use the Platform for its intended professional and networking purposes.
- Respect the rights, privacy, and dignity of others.
- Ensure information you provide is accurate and not misleading.
Users are responsible for all activity carried out through their account.
4. Prohibited use
4.1 Unlawful or harmful activities
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Promote or engage in illegal activities.
- Harass, threaten, abuse, intimidate, or harm others.
- Engage in hate speech or discriminatory conduct.
4.2 Inappropriate or abusive content
- Post content that is offensive, defamatory, obscene, or misleading.
- Share content that infringes another person's intellectual property rights.
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or other harmful software.
4.3 Misuse of networking features
- Impersonate another individual or organisation.
- Create false or misleading profiles.
- Send spam, unsolicited promotions, or bulk messages.
- Use the Platform for purposes unrelated to legitimate networking or business activity.
4.4 Platform integrity and security
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or data.
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Platform.
- Circumvent access controls, safeguards, or technical restrictions.
5. User-generated content
End Users are solely responsible for content they post, share, or otherwise make available on the Platform ("User Content"). By posting User Content, End Users confirm they have the necessary rights and permissions and that the content complies with these guidelines and applicable law.
Refr.you does not routinely monitor User Content but reserves the right to review, restrict, or remove content where required by law or where it reasonably believes these guidelines have been breached.
6. Reporting and moderation
Users may report content or behaviour that violates these guidelines using reporting tools provided on the Platform or by contacting us. Refr.you may take appropriate action, including:
- Removing or restricting access to content.
- Suspending or terminating End User access.
- Notifying the relevant business customer.
- Taking steps required to comply with legal obligations.
We do not guarantee that all reported content will be removed.
7. Relationship between users
The Platform facilitates connections and interactions between users. Refr.you does not verify the identity, qualifications, or conduct of users and is not responsible for interactions, communications, or disputes between users. Users engage with others at their own discretion and risk.
8. Enforcement
Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in enforcement action, including suspension or termination of access to the Platform, without prior notice where appropriate. Enforcement decisions are made at our discretion, acting reasonably and proportionately.
9. Changes to these guidelines
We may update these guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, or how the Platform operates. Updated versions will be made available on the Platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
